No rubber bathmats/handles on bath making getting in out of shower tricky. The photos on website give a different view to hotel compared to reality.

A well located hotel. Spacious room.

Staff were not very friendly. We were opposite where all the linen was collected. It was very messy and smelly. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner.

Reasonable price, handy location. Bedding appeared to be clean.

Basic accommodation, room reasonable size but bathrooms need updating. Breakfast was very poor, most of the cooked food was either hard and over cooked or tasteless. Very cheap sliced bread for toasting. Coffee was revolting

Every thing the room was filthy and the windows were disgusting, and all rotten though the window would fall in, there was pubic hairs on the bed.

Comfortable bed. Extremely clean. Bottled water, ironing board, fab TV in the room.

A lot of noise from the road and unfortunately people shouting late at night/ early hours of the morning. Bit of a damp smell from the shower room but could not fault the cleanliness.

Great central location near shopping and restaurants. Linen was clean. Some staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and breakfast staff were efficient and helpful.

The towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, broken. The room was dark and hot, with no air conditioning or fan provided. Opening the window at night meant hearing the hotel fan outside or people in the street. Had some issues with the wifi.

Staff were fine. Excellent location near Glasgow Central Station (although that isn't the most salubrious area it is in the heart of the City). Room was clean and just above basic standard. Breakfast was help yourself, but excellent choice and plenty on offer.

I was on the 6th floor and the lift only goes to the 5th and even on the fifth can take ages to come, but other than that I've no real complaints.

The check out time, is too early. In most countries the check out time is 12:00 at noon. I also expected more happy faces and approach from the staff.

The location is somewhat run down but don't be put off by that, walk 100 yards and you're in the centre of Glasgow.

Easy to get to.

Windows were in dire need of some tlc. Pole holding curtains against sloping wall in room was held on with lots of black tape. Carpet could have done with a decent hoover as when walking about with bare feet I had lots of fluff etc sticking to my feet. And why only leave 3 normal Tbags for a room booked for 2 people??

The location was great - right outside central station.

The location was great - right outside central station. Food options near by. Cheaper parking agreement was really handy and only about a 5 minute walk away. Free breakfast.

On quite a noisy road and the single glazed windows don’t help to keep the noise out. The room was really hot but we didn’t want to keep the window open because of the noise - would have been nice to have had a fan in the room. The mattress was very uncomfortable - you could feel every single spring poking in your back. The pillows were very flat and only one each.

What a good surprise this hotel is.

What a good surprise this hotel is. Loved the grace of the old building. Great value and good buffet breakfast.

The big post in the bathroom but hey, if it knocked 50 pound off my bill who cares!

Like that we can drop our bags off before check in.

Like that we can drop our bags off before check in. Staff where friendly also . Room was a good size didn’t hear any street noise which is a bonus. Plenty to chose from at breakfast

Shower took ages to heat up kettle sounded as though it was going to blow up when boiling and one of the lights kept coming on and off . Breakfast yogurt was full of ice

Location was very good for access to Central Station

Hotel receptionist was not very welcoming. The Hotel appears to be getting refurbished - these areas/rooms appear to be far superior to the area where my room was. The smell of cooked breakfast pervaded my room in the morning and put me off from trying it. Overall it was ‘cheap’ ... but not very cheerful

Breakfast was excellent so was the room

The room was a good sized room -the iron and board was unexpectedl , tea and coffee was laid on , which we liked , big bathroom with shower and bath which we really liked .

Excellent stay in central Glasgow

Although I was travelling solo, I was allocated a huge room that was clean, comfortable and quiet. Excellent sleep, plenty of space and as it was central, I simply walked to my meetings in the morning. Great breakfast. I've no complaints and would return the next time I'm in Glasgow.

It suited my short stay and being near the main rail station a plus.

Great location near the central station this is an old hotel. The room was spacious, quiet, very clean, good shower. The staff were helpful. Large variety of breakfast food though a lot of it fried.

Good value all round

The breakfast was MAGNIFICENT and the location extremely handy

First staff member we met at the reception desk (woman) was very offhand. Also the luggage room was not locked as it should gave been despite a notice to say THIS DOOR TO BE KEPT LOCKED AT ALL TIMES
